Real Fishing FAQs

1. What should I bring?
Fishing license, which can be picked up from just about anywhere for a cost of $17.00 the first day and only $8.00 for each additional day for out of state residents. Sun screen, snacks and drinks are a good idea.
2. Should I bring my own rod, reel and tackle??
You can bring your own if you like. I have all the gear you will need. If you want to try for smaller fish during the trip, such as bass, catfish and needlenose gar, you will need to bring your own light tackle.
3. How many ANGLERS can your boat hold? The boat can hold up to 5 anglers plus myself. The boat is 20 feet long and 8 feet wide.
4. Can we bring beer?
Yes. As long as everyone is 21 and up.
5. Where will we be fishing?
I fish all over Texas from the Louisiana border to the Mexico border and anywhere in between. The weather changes and so do the fish. If conditions are not good, I move to a better location to help improve your chances of getting what you came for.
6. Where will we stay?
We usually stay at a motel near the water body we will be fishing. I usually sleep on the floor in my sleeping bag or on a Cot that I carry with me if there is no spare bed (no problem). Rooms usually cost about $40.00 to $65.00 a night.
7. How many days do you recommend?
Typically my out of state and out of country customers book 2 to 5 day trips and then book again the following year. My in state customers book 1 to 2 day trips and then book again for later in the year.
8. If you have any more questions and are ready to book your trip, give me a call at 512-431-9037. I look forward to setting up your trip.
